Sailing and surfing therapy
The therapeutic team
I am Daniel Tamir, a social worker (M.S.W.) and a sailing therapist and the manager of the 'In One Boat' center.
In the past I've coordinate the Anchor for Life program— a prevention program for at-risk youth through sailing.
I was a sailing instructor at the Sailing Club Haifa, teaching basic seamanship and fostering social values among children.
I co-founded Migdalor Pre-Military Academy, a preparatory program for at-risk youth that utilizes the sea as an educational and rehabilitative tool.
I've worked in 'Ne'urim', a Parent and Adolescent Center in Holon as a therapist.
I have been sailing for over 30 years, serving as a naval officer and commander of a patrol boat in the Israeli Navy. I am a graduate of the Naval Officer Course and conduct resilience training and workshops for cadets in the same course.
"For me, the sea is the home—a place you belong to and carry with you wherever you go".
